World Speech Day is coming back to Norwich in 2018!

Norwich, UK, joins the tremendous World Speech Day events happening in 94 nations worldwide. This year’s theme is ‘Ideas for a Better World’ and the event will take place on the 15th of March at the Enterprise Centre, UEA from 19:00 – 21:00. Ten University of East Anglia students will be given the chance to present their speeches in front of an audience and our respected judges. The winner of the event will be given the opportunity to present their idea at TEDx NorwichED on the 28th of April. Last year’s winner, Jack Ashton, gave a speech on ‘An Overdose of Apathy’ and went on to gain an internship at The Independent – one of the United Kingdom’s most important newspapers.

This year’s event is organised by three UEA students from the Politics, Philosophy, Language and Communication Studies school; Max Sharpe, Megan Bennett and Mauricio Salazar (pictured below).
